      With kergoth's revision -r1.43 (Feb 9) to conf/bitbake.conf this bug
      breaks the openslug-image bitbake build.

      kergoth changed TARGET_OS to
      "INVALID", unless it is set in local.conf the build dies with a quite
      understandable message. I believe the same change should be made to
      TARGET_FPU (i.e. don't do a conditional assignment), although something
      somewhere does set it to 'soft'.
