connected to the serial line and had no hangs for some days. So I will add
a pullup as a permanent solution.

So do you think it would be better (for a 24/7 device) to restrict memory
access to 64 MB on a fatslug as a workaround? Or at least disable swapping
so any I/O error wouldn't be fatal?
