Problem installing Debian on NSLU2 with 2GB memory stick
I am following the instructions (from here:
http://www.cyrius.com/debian/nslu2/install.html). I am using the
unofficial installer with the networking microcode included. After the
image boots I connect via ssh and start the installer. After selecting
the modules to load I get the following warning:
Device /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/disc has a logical sector
size of 2048. Not all parts of GNU Parted support this at the moment,
and the working code is HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL.
At this point sometimes parter fails 41% of the way thru detecting
disks. Other times it gets to the following screen:
Note that all data on the disk you select will be erased, but not
before you have confirmed that you really want to make the changes.
â Select disk to partition:
â /dev/mtdblock0 - 262.1 kB Unknown
â /dev/mtdblock1 - 131.1 kB Unknown
â /dev/mtdblock2 - 131.1 kB Unknown
â /dev/mtdblock3 - 1.4 MB Unknown
â /dev/mtdblock4 - 6.3 MB Unknown
â /dev/mtdblock5 - 131.1 kB Unknown
â SCSI1 (0,0,0) (sda) - 509.9 MB DW PND2GCBMM21102B
â <Go Back>
Note that the memory stick is not showing the 2GB file system (ext3 it
is formatted to).
So I can't continue installation. Can anyone offer any help or advice
at this stage.
Thanks in advance
