MC not start

      i install Midnight Commander:
      ipkg install mc

      but he is not start:

      bash-3.1# mc
      Screen size 0x0 is not supported.
      Check the TERM environment variable.

      Plz help!!!

        I had the same problem on one slug but not on another
        (both version 6.8 firmware).
        Didn't get to the root cause but I just installed nano and use that
        for editing files (although the mc navigation strengths are missed).

          You should do as the wiki page suggests:

          2- Edit or create /etc/profile to set up your terminal settings. It does not exist by default (for me /etc/profile points to /opt/etc/profile which was installed together with bash).
          Add these lines to the file:
          export TERMINFO=/opt/share/terminfo
          export TERM=xterm-pcolor

          To try other terminal configurations, explore the /opt/share/terminfo directory. I use xterm-color
