RE: [npEnterprise Forum] New Youth Professional Seeking Advice
- At the upcoming 7th Gathering of the Social Enterprise Alliance on March 7-10, we have designed a learning track specifically focused on many of the questions you pose.
The Consultant track will cover everything from assessing organizational readiness for social enterprise to the seldom-discussed issues of pricing and marketing one's services. Check it out at:

I'm in the process of developing a social enterprise consulting
practice. My questions are as follows:
1. How do I determine whether I should organize myself as a
nonprofit or a for-profit consulting practice?
2. I believe a social enterprise is different than the typical
nonprofit or for-profit business. If my perception is accurate, how
might this effect the development of my business plan?
3. What resources might be available for mentorship, financial
counseling, legal couseling, and business development for this youth
(age 26) professional?
