      Hello Mette,

      It has been my experience that Netscape is less forgiving than IE in
      parsing the HTML code passed to it. You called for 6 columns in your table
      and gave the first cell in the first row a value of 5 cells, leaving one
      not accounted for. If you another cell( <TD></TD>) your width function for
      the second row will work in Netscape as in the example below:

      <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="7" cols="6"
      summary="T etc. ">
      <th rowspan="4" valign="top" width="5%"><a name="1">1</a></th>
      <tr bgcolor="lightgrey">
      <td colspan="5" class="tabletext_plain"><font class="text_bold">Text:
      </font>
      </td>
      <TD></TD>
      </tr>

      <tr bgcolor="lightgrey">
      <td rowspan="3" class="tabletext_plain" >Text
      </td>
      <td></td>
      <td></td>
      <td></td>
      <td></td>
      <td></td>
      </tr>
      </table>

      <p><hr>

      <p><HR><p>

      Or you can change the 'cols="6"' parameter to 'cols="5"' to achieve the
      same result (with one less column):

      <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="7" cols="5"
      summary="T etc. ">

      <tr bgcolor="lightgrey">
      <th rowspan="4" valign="top" width="5%"><a name="1">1</a></th>
      <td colspan="5" class="tabletext_plain"><font class="text_bold">Text:
      </font></td>
      <td></td>
      </tr>

      <tr bgcolor="lightgrey">
      <td rowspan="3" class="tabletext_plain" width="33%">text
      </td>
      <td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></table>

      Hope that this helps.
