How do you get a text document, including hard line breaks, into another format such as Wordpad or Word, so it shows up with the line breaks intact?

NoteTab processes PLAIN TEXT documents. It has no export function for special NON-text documents (any document that does not consist entirely of content, as opposed to formatting information, as found in Word documents).

If you simply copy a text document, or section of a document FROM NoteTab TO the clipboard (select and press CTRL+C), it will have every character included in the original text, INCLUDING _hard_ line breaks.

You do understand that NoteTab does not use anything except HARD linebreaks? When you turn word-wrap on and off it never changes the actual text. It just displays it differently.

        Cheers,
