      top most folder: A
      subfolders: B, C, images.

      index.html is in A.
      anyfile.html is in B.
      anyfile2.html is in C.
      .jpg's are in images.

      <a href="../index.html"home></a> this doesn't work.
      <img src="../images/image.jpg"image /> this doesn't work.

If all the files are in the top most folder, everything works fine. But when moving the html files into there own folders inside the top most folder nothing works at all. In microsoft notepad, the html works fine when moving the html files to another folder. Also, after moving the html files to another folder in notetab, notetab recreates the html files in the top most folder. Does anyone know how to correct this? Is there a setting that has to be set in order to stop this behavior?

When you want to link to a file in another folder in the same
directory as the current HTML file, you just need to use the folder
name. Then you use a slash for each nested folder after that (just
        part of a normal URL)
        folder1/folder2/folder3/file.html

'../' as you used means one folder up. You use '../' for each folder.
        Three folder up...
        ../../../file.html
