      Good morning!

      It appears that there is some limit as to the length of the data (operand) list which I can sum using CTRL-E, whether in number of characters, or number of lines, or something of the sort. How much is this limit?

      Similarly, if I want to use the ^$Calc function inside of a clip to sum some numbers, what is the maximum length of the data list I can use?

        40. But sometimes 41 seems to work. No idea why that is. Maybe in
        addition one of the numbers isn't seen as an invisible "embedded parentheses".

        "Expressions can have up to 40 imbedded parentheses. Note that you
        may need to break down very long expressions into groups of
        parentheses if you get an error message."

        In practice that means this won't work..
        1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1
        +1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1= [Error]

        But this will.
        (1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1)
        +(1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1)=42

          The quote's from the section "Calculate in NoteTab" in ordinary Help
          (not Clip help).
