    Did you try [F1]=Help while your had the Modify-Block submenu open? ... determines the block coordinates based on the selection s start and end coordinates.

      Basically it gives you a way to cut, copy and paste rectangular areas.
      Unfortunately, its not WYSIWYG but it is quite useable once you get the hang
      of it. Watch out for tabs and shortlines - they may cause your results to
      not be quite what you were after.
