Michael Barnes is my tutor! He's a lovely man, always willing to help anyone serious about learning Old Norse. Sadly, he retires at the end of this academic year. If only I could have all his wealth of knowledge of ON transplanted into my brain before he goes...!!!
You’re hamingja is certainly good to have such a good teacher! That is a shame to hear that he is retiring. Perhaps it will give him more time to write some more excellent books!
