They are returning some tankers now. The fire has bumped into a
previously plowed fireline. They are keeping an eye on that with the
winds. Tankers are working the flanks and killing flame with each
drop. The Tankers are operating in the Maxwell 4 Military Operations
Area so they are hoping they don't get kicked out. ;)

Thanks Jerry on the Strike Team from Butte - they are rolling code 3
        to the fire.

The fire is starting to look pretty good and getting the upper hand.
Luckily that fire break was already there.

The AA Supe will call the closest FAA office and have them close off
the area to ALL aircraft except those directly involved in the
incident. The AA Supe then has full ATC control over the fire area and
the buffer zone around it. If a military aircraft strays into the
area, he'd better be above the Temp. Flight Restriction Zone or get an
ass chewing from the AA supe.

The military has certain areas that they designate as operational
areas. There could be military planes in these areas at any time, day
or night, at any altitude. If a private aircraft wants access to these
areas, they need to get clearance from the approach control for that
              area.

There are other areas that are restricted, because they are areas
where there's ordinance being dropped or fired, and there is to be NO
              private traffic at all.
