      This is a lot of equipment and does not include all
      the Federal assests ordered by the USFS nor does it
      include the 10 Strike Teams from Arizona and Nevada
      and the 5 from Oregon sent to the Whitmore fire in
      Shasta County. It also does not include the 2 Oregon
      National Guard helos, the 4 from Nevada National Guard
      and the 8 MAFF's units ordered through the Federal
      System.

      Joint Fire Information from
      Governor's Office of Emergency Services and
      California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection

      Commitment of CDF firefighting resources:
      No people assigned out of state.
      5,400 people (4,772 and 628 overhead) are assigned to
      large incidents in California.
      62% (13 of 21) of its air tankers and,
      91% (306 of 336) of its fire engines and,
      88% (189 of 214) of its fire crews committed to all
      incidents statewide at this time.

      Commitment of Local Government and OES firefighting
      resources:
      1010 local government engines.
      101 OES engines and 5 OES water tenders.
      2 OES Support Unit, 2 OASIS Communications Units, 1
      Mobile Communications Van
      Seven OES Assistant Chiefs, two Deputy Chiefs, the
      Branch Chief, and six support staff committed.
      One National Guard Liaison assigned to OES FIRE EOC

        {Fire Cats} @ the 6 major fire storms. 177 w/41 CDF. One doesn't think
        much about bulldozers, but they are out there & they are a very effective
        resource.
