We occasionally have fires here in the southern Sierras that the CDF drops
      on.

California is split into two regions called Coast-Cascade Region and
South-Sierra Region. The radio plan books are meant for the region
they reside in. However - the frequencies should stay the same and
all other info the same throughout the state. The only difference
between books would be the station/engine assignments and ranger unit
repeater maps in the back. The CC book would have ranger units only
in their region and the SS book only the units in the SS region. My
take is the book would be too big to have the whole state in one book.

The frequencies found in the 2000 CDF radio plan as well as others
unpublished in the plan can be found at
          http://www.norcalscan.org/fire/cdfradio.html

Ranger Unit repeater maps can be found at
          http://www.norcalscan.org/fire/cdfdispatch.html

If Mike or I get the book (Coast-Cascade book) - (Mike is usually
more pushing on getting the book than I am) then I will have it on
the Fire Center as soon as I can. ;)
          http://www.norcalscan.org/fire/

All in all, before fire season rears its ugly side this year - we
will have every freq imaginable on this list related to fires in
Northern California updated to 2001 ;)

I'd be very interested in the info for AEU and TCU (interested enough
              to buy the beer).

LOL - well, I can do the beer but Mike can't yet. These books so far
have been obtained by knowing someone in the field. I got 1999 from a
CDF neighbor who took the conservation camp's extra book which is
stored he said in the bottom of some drawer to collect dust - I would
make use of it so he gave it to me. Then the 2000 book Mike obtained
through a friend in Redding City Fire I believe (or CDF Station 43 -
he can tell us when he gets online). So he shared with me and I
posted what was updated from the 99 book online.

We'll get the 2001 copy in electronic format real soon. I can scan
and throw it on PDF real easy. Although the only versions we will
most likely get are the Coast Cascade versions. I am doing some radio
work in the Mobile Command Communications Unit at Redding this spring
and will probably grab a copy then if they have them available. That
thing is awesome! I'll have pictures real soon online of MC24.

So find a CDF friend down there and hook up. Buy HIM some beer and
after a few pitchers ask for the CDF Radio Plan that is in his engine
hehehe ;) And while you're at it - ask for 10 dollars too. Good luck!

                Jake
