      NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SACRAMENTO CA
      830 AM PDT SUN OCT 6 2002

      CAZ005>008-064-065-069-074-075-061700-

...ALLOW RED FLAG WARNING FOR THE TAHOE AND ELDORADO NATIONAL
      FORESTS...THE SONOMA-LAKE-NAPA UNIT...SANTA CLARA AND SAN
MATEO-SANTA CRUZ UNITS...AND EAST BAY HILLS TO EXPIRE...

THIS EXPIRATION INCLUDES FIRE WEATHER ZONES:
      536...538...546...547...548...549...550...558...559...561...
      562...566

DISCUSSION: MOST AREAS IN THE WARNING AREA HAD MODERATE HUMIDITY
RECOVERY LAST NIGHT WITH BREEZY EAST WINDS ONLY MATERIALIZING IN
SOME AREAS. PRESSURE GRADIENTS ALOFT AND AT THE SURFACE ARE EXPECTED
TO WEAKEN TODAY. THEREFORE THE RED FLAG WARNING HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO
EXPIRE. POORER HUMIDITY RECOVERY IS EXPECTED TONIGHT WITH BREEZY
EAST WINDS IN SOME ISOLATED AREAS.

PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS AND FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD
OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING EXPIRATION.
