      last night about 930pm I was hearing someone keying up on morgan hills freq.
      audio was very bad but they were sounding like kids messing around.
      now this morning(5am) there seems to be something keying up about every
      three seconds and stays keyed for 1 second.............any one else hearing
      this??????????????????????????????????????????? im in Hollister and it does
      seem a little off freq.......................

      Noticed the same thing this morning. In Gilroy it was about an S5 (on a Kenwood 742) by the time I got to San Jose it was 40 over S9!! carl ... hills freq.

        159.345 is the input frequency to the SCU CDF system. When you are on that freq and you hear the jammer, search for the CTCSS tone they are using. Report the

          using. Report the tone back to this list. This will tell us what
          repeater they are coming in on.

            There is no jammer on SCU Local. A couple of weeks ago
            their site on Mt Allison (Tone 4) received some water
            damage. The radio techs thought they had fixed it.
            There is a portable repeater on the way up right now.
            Morgan Hill is aware of the situation.

                My information came from Morgan Hill. I called them
                because I am hearing the open transmitter here. What
                is also happening is while the transmitter is stuck
                open, there is RF mixing going on. This is a common
                problem at sites with multiple transmitters. You are
                hearing the other co-located transmitters also on Mt
                Allison. There is NO JAMMER. CDF is aware of the
                problem and have radio techs enroute to Mt Allison to
                shut off the bad box and install a protable repeater
                to solve the problem on the short term.
