Group Description

The Coalition to Uproot Ragging from Education (CURE), founded in July 2001 at Delhi, is a voluntary, non-profit organisation in India, dedicated to the elimination of ragging in India.

CURE is the pioneer & leader in the anti-ragging campaign in India and has been at the forefront of research and advocacy on ragging and related issues. CURE has worked closely with the highest policy making bodies, including expert committees and HRD ministry, in the country and CURE research has been widely quoted and cited both in the print and electronic media.

CURE's goals are to create awareness about ragging and its ill-effects, provide alternate means of interaction to Indian students and censure those involved in ragging. CURE research points to ragging as not being "harmless fun", but the cause of more than 25 attempted suicides & deaths in 7 years.

- CURE research can be accessed freely through www.noragging.com
- This is the online mailing list for CURE.
