      NEW RELEASES-

      REYNOLS - BARBATRULOS LP $10

"The appearance of a new language invariably brings with it more distress
than most people care to admit. The implication that extant tongues have
failed to evolve apace with the collective consciousness; the inscrutable
nature of the as-yet-unassimilated; and good old fashioned resentment of
the unknown -- admittedly, the kaleidoscope of alienation on offer could
blind even the most resolutely lupine culture czar. Because it is in fact
      a
spontaneously invented language that Reynols uses, one hears distilled
intonation, phonemes from the intersection of drummer/vocalist Tomasin
Miguel's verbal laboratory, and glorious field recordings from a
      somnolent
ghost world evoked by the twin homemade guitars of Anla Courtis and
      Moncho
Conlazo. A litmus test for the interpretive pioneer.
Within _Barbatrulos_, as with Ives's _The Unanswered Question_,
      are
what Thomas Willis calls "economic and evocative cosmic landscapes":
_Experimente_-style improvisations that gently suffocate like a passive
sodomite's sweaty peniculus blocking the light, the air, the sound,
everything. Further contributing to the Reynols total eclipse of the
outside world is the Argentinean trio's ability to create beautiful
      dirges
which rival "Helen Said This" and might be regarded as equally "epic"
      were
it not for their modest duration, alongside truncated chants that elevate
the passions to states of prepared-fidelity euphoria."
      -Seymour Glass, Bananafish April 2000

Pressed at RTI in an edition of 500, beautiful glossy card cover,
each LP comes with an 11 X 17 poster of Miguel Tomasin in a suit.

MILOVAN SRDENOVIC - COLOUR THESE BEARS LP $10

"One can scarcely imagine anything short of celibacy that Milovan
      Srdenovic
would not do. Take a good look at the leader of Smell & Quim (the
understandably revered Yorkshire noise duo who, as Fred Rinne of the
Patchchords observed, "are far heavier than Ted Nugent's immigration
policies") and you'll see a shining boy-monk who doesn't know the meaning
of the words "stop fucking." Taking a break from S&Q's admirable devotion
to high-sauce dissonance and deviance overload, Srdenovic, for his second
full-length effort, instead reinvents himself as a sort of long lost
      Walker
Brother who never, ever, gets discussed -- one with a cinematic phrasing
fixation and a diverse palette of instrumentation, toys, loops, tape
manipulation and samples. Sredenovic's marble-mouthed tracheotomy
vocalizations -- as delightfully scatological as anything by Rev. Dwight
Frizzell -- and LAFMS-style kitchen-doink fracturama are virtually
indistinguishable from the kind of thing that'd go for $750 simply
      because
it dates from Pasadena 1972 and no one knows what happened to the guy who
made it. You're getting a deal. Hoard."

Pressed at RTI in an edition of 300, painful sadistic crayon-colouring
      job on cover,
record sticker and insert. No poster.

ORIGAMI REPUBLIKA - QUESTIONS OF BEING AND OTHERNESS
      12 Cassette Box Set $30

Just NOT in time for their 10 year reunion, here's a project that
      literally has us
at each other's throats. 12 60 minute tapes featuring most of the
      prominent
OR factions. OR is a Norwegian Arts conglomerate focusing on many
      different aspects
of action and output. Some are noise, some are more song oriented, some
      simply
interrupt Euro radio broadcasts. Despite such a large network, the
      quality is
always apparent. Beautiful cover and cassette artwork by Jesse Petersen.
      Some
names: Lasse Marhaug, Tore Boe, Reynols, Alexander Rishaug, late, etc.
      Sorry distributors, NO CONSIGNMENT.

MAGAZINE $4 (Pressed on June 5th)

A project that literally has taken over 6 years to see the light of day,
      is now finally done.
Dealing less with music itself, rather worthwhile 'stories' art and plain
nonsense by some of your favorites.

Adris Hoyos, Thurston Moore, Gregg Turkington, Leslie Q, Dylan
Nyoukis, Matt Bacon, Bengala, Simon Morris, Phil Todd, Sticky Foster,
      Richard
Youngs, Neil Campbell, John Olson, Ian Middleton, Gar Funk, Tom Lax,
Patrick Marley, Joel St-Germain, Jay T Yamamoto, Witcyst, Stella Corkery,
Peter King, Lucas Abela, Karen Lollipop, Emil Hagstrom... the list
      continues.

THE LAUNDRYROOM SQUELCHERS - DRUNKER THAN POLLARD CDROM $10

Over 33 hours of ear-splitting head trauma via guitar by Rat Bastards
      (of To Live & Shave
in Laura Ashley, Scraping Teeth, The Esync Label) constantly changing
      orchestra of gorgeous
women. Features over 12 live videos as well as a reissue of the classic
      1st LRS LP and
the entire video of "The 6 Hours That Killed Jerry Garcia." Yes, you
need a computer to play this. Also features Emil Hagstrom, Dan Hosker,
      Matt Bacon, Jason
Blume, late, GK, Carlos Giffoni and many MANY more. Comes in a beautiful
      handmade
      paper/card box with no information.

      TOM ATO - I WANDERED LONELY AS A PSYCHOPATH C64 $3
UT ZILKO & THE AMAZING ZEN GUITAR - THIS IS THE AMAZING UT ZILKO C64 $3

Both are strange, STRANGE tapes received from Milovan Srdenovic. We
      basically have
little or no information regarding them. What we do know- TOM ATO is a
      now
dead (suicide) crazy old man who used to live by Srdenovic. This tape is
      one hour of
crazy man head spew. Sounds? Crazy old British man mumbling, singing
incoherently and clapping his hands. The UT ZILKO tape dates from 1980
      and we know
nothing about it. The sound? Again, we are of no help, it defies a
      singular or descriptive
      explanation.

      NOXAGT - ROCKNOTION C54 $3

10 tracks of Nor Wave overload by Kjetil D Brandsdal, (see new LP on
      Thurston Moores
Ecstatic Peace Records + Tapes, or KDBs new self-released records as
      Noxagt) recorded
live at Folken (Stavanger) 8.2.00. Instrumentation: drum machine,
      sampler, keyboards,
guitar, bass guitar. Electronic rock, drum machine solos and random
      music. Featuring
Spelled Out from the 7 EP and several other hits. All new material.

      2 CENT BITCH - LIVE AT GUS LUCKY'S C34 $4
Ed Gray fronted duo who sadly played their last performance at this show.
      Squealing guitar
with brutal feedback to pounding drums; there's definitely 'song' .. Set
      is
topped off with Matt Sucks Cock, a piece frequently covered by MPLS
      aficionados.

      STEWART WALDEN - ANNOYING C64 $4
Tape originally recorded way back in 1991, which features former A Band
      member and
frequent collaborator with Smell & Quim and Neil Campbell, Walden
      performing poetry,
sound pieces, Srdenovic-esque dementia songs, even dance music. A must
      have for every-one.
Quite possibly our favorite FF tape.

N/A - FREEDOM IS BEING FREE OF THE NEED TO BE FREE C64 $3
N/A AKA UKs James Moss cuts us a highlights record of his previous 2 or
      3 self-released
efforts plus some new material to boot. This ranges from minimal droning
      to some highly
accomplished sampling and sound constructions. While I own all of his
      material, none of
      this is distinguishable from it.

upcoming: La Gloria 7", Guiseppi Ielasi 7", Birchville Cat Motel
      "Unplugged" LP,
Diz Willis 3CD Box set, Priya Ray benefit CD, v/a one minute track LP (w/
