      Tour
      brings well known musicians, actors and activists to the stage to
      speak out
      on their personal convictions and instigate action. Michael Franti,
      lead
      singer of Spearhead, will be master of ceremonies and speak
      on "Becoming
      Human," sharing his views on racism, prison conditions and police
      brutality.
      Author and former MTV host Kennedy asks, "If Freedom Rings, Will You
      Answer
      It?," addressing the importance of developing a social conscience and
      creed.
      Performance artist Jello Biafra of The Dead Kennedys will speak on
      civil
      liberties, artistic freedom and threats posed by censorship, among
      other
      subjects, in a talk he calls "The Non-Violent Extermination of the
      Rich."
      Time magazine's current Woman of the Year, Julia "Butterfly" Hill,
      will
      speak on "The Environment and Deforestation." Hill recently spent 783
      days
      living 180 feet up in a redwood tree to draw attention to the need to
      protect a stand of old-growth forest.
