      Hi Joe,

I volunteered to head up outreach to UDCSL this year for the Hispanic Bar Association of DC Foundation.  Once again, we are offering at least three great scholarships of $5,000 to $10,000 for summer public interest work.  Last year not one UDCSL student applied, though the previous year two UDCSL students were awarded fellowships.  Let's turn that around this year!

I would be grateful if you would connect me with appropriate student groups -- public interest, Latino law students, etc.  I would be very pleased to speak to the groups, offer them tips, etc.  I was a DCSL 1L when I won this award in '95 -- the first year it was offered -- and it made a big difference in my professional development.

By the way, I had a blast at the last EcoJustice Cafe, and I know I'm not the only one spreading that message.  I have a feeling that you will see an even bigger crowd next time.

      Thanks for all you're doing,

      Jocelyn
