With the NFL preseason 2013 live stream and TV games continue for week 2 on Saturday, Aug. 17, an early evening matchup featuring the Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals will take place. The Cowboys come into the game at U of Phoenix Stadium with a 1-1 preseason record, while Arizona is 1-0. Fans can see the latest NFL game streaming online, or on TV in select regions of the country.
According to an ABC 15 report on Aug. 17, Arizona enters today's matchup coming off a 17-0 shutout win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field over a week ago. The Cardinals will be without several key players today including linebackers Karlos Dansby and Dan Giordano, as well as cornerback Javier Arenas, safety Rashad Johnson and running back Ryan Williams. Defensive tackles Dan Williams and Ricky Lumpkin, as well as tight ends Jeff King and Kory Sperry are also expected to be out for Arizona.http://tvsignup.24watchlive.com/
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians has indicated the first team starting players will be on the field for about twenty plays each, but they won't play for the entire first half. In the second half, the Cardinals will look for their young players to "be exposed or get exposed," according to Arians. Basically, the team will be trimming their roster to 75 by the 27th of August, and then to 53 by Aug. 31.
As for the Cowboys, they enter this matchup coming off 19-17 loss to the Raiders in Oakland just last Friday. A report from Dallas Morning News on Aug. 16 has indicated that Cowboys coach Jason Garrett is going to use his main players in a similar way to the strategy of Bruce Arians with his players. It's expected that quarterback Tony Romo will play into the second quarter, with other first-team players getting about 15 to 20 plays each. Garrett told the media:
"Different guys will play a little bit longer based on a lot of different things, who else we have, how much work we want to give them, so they'll play a few more snaps than they did last week. Don't want to say it's the whole first half. We'll just try to gauge it as we go."
Today's Cowboys vs. Cardinals game has a start time of 4:30 p.m. EST. The game will be available in select regions of the country for TV coverage including ABC 15 in the Arizona area and KXTX or Telemundo channel in the Dallas area.
