Migrants at Bald point/Alligator Point
- Hello all,
There was some productive birding Sunday morning starting at Bald point.
Here are just a few highlights:
BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER 1---- on dunes blvd.
RED-SHAFTED FLICKER 1----- on dunes blvd.-- I am absolutely sure that it
had red under-wings. When it perched it was most definitely a flicker.
I've seen other red-shafteds out west while birding and this looked just
like the others. this was at exactly 9:00AM
American golden-plover 2---- on beach at farthest point on the peninsula
Yellow warbler 5
CERULEAN WARBLER 1-- at the end of the road by entrance to Phipps
ST. MARKS MOUNDS TRAIL
--there were many waders in the "tower pond"
REDDISH EGRET 1
LEAST SANDPIPER 8
PECTORAL SANDPIPER 2
Have a great holiday weekend
