        This is the error msg that is generated by my application.
        Operation timed out: connect
        i did a ping on net-federation and get the following result.
        Reply From 195.94.80.22: bytes=32 time=781 TTL=232
        Reply From 195.94.80.22: bytes=32 time=771 TTL=232
        Reply From 195.94.80.22: bytes=32 time=781 TTL=232
        Reply From 195.94.80.22: bytes=32 time=811 TTL=232

          That's an error from the HTTP server.

          That's voodoo.one-2-one.net -- is that what you intended to ping? In
          any case, the message is coming either (a) because the HTTP server is
          refusing your connection, or (b) because your firewall expects you to
          be using an HTTP-proxy and won't allow a direct connection. It
          doesn't look like a Java or NewsML problem.

              nope that is not what i intended to ping,, or are they the same
              thing,,
              i do not know as i only had very basic networking knowledge..
