      Hello,

The IPTC News Architecture WP is finalizing the construction of the framework on which the future IPTC standards will be based.

After a second experimental phase, many slight changes have been decided on the conceptual model, and precisions have been added on the processing model front.

Latest decisions of the WP are found at:

      decisions.html

open proposals are found at :

      proposals.html

previous proposals are logged at :

      HistoryOfProposals.html

Note : the last public draft documents are found on the IPTC web site at : http://www.iptc.org/NAR/

In a month, at the next IPTC meeting, we hope to be able to freeze the development of the NAR (News Architecture) and concentrate on the finalization of NewsML G2 (the IPTC standard for general news), EventsML G2 (the IPTC standard for news events), and SportsML G2 (the IPTC standard for sport results and statistics), all based on the NAR framework.

Don’t hesitate to send comments of questions to this list.

      Laurent Le Meur
