    Message 1 of 1 , Nov 2, 2010
      All,

My enquiry to Newham Council concerning the the changes to Stratford Town Centre has been given the following response:

"Stratford Town Centre Public Realm Project covers the area of Stratford from the end of High Street 2012 around the gyratory and up to Maryland Station.  The project has been consulted on at various times including the following:

During the initial phase of the project Sept to Oct 2009:

A huge amount of consultation with local stakeholder including residents and businesses has been undertaken in developing the project proposals. This has included:

      ·

      ·

      ·

      ·

This consultation formed the basis off future design work

The outline design was presented at a Breakfast Briefing on 26th November 2009, followed by a public eent in Meridian Square held over 28th and 29th Novemeber 2009.  The exhibition was then installed in Stratford Town Hall 30th November to 24th December 2009.  12,000 leafletswere distributed to private and business addresses in Stratford and West Ham to publicise the Public Event and subsequent Public Exhibition.

The final package of interventions has been the subject of Planning Applications submitted to London Borough of Newham, London Thames Gateway Development Corporation and Olympic Delivery Authority.  All have 3 bodies have given consent.

The package of interventions includes for the continuation of the cycle route coming from Angel Lane to Stratford Regional Station and from Stratford Regional Station to the cycle routes on the High Street.   Cycle parking is being installed in the vicinity of the station"

From LCC comes the following information on the LCN+ cycle network

      "LCN+ resources

Yes the LCN+ project is nearing its end. But there are still useful documents, notably pdf maps with links, on the website. The site will be shut down eventually, so make the most of it and download materials you might find useful.
