New Century Players Community Theater announces auditions for two
one-act plays by Christopher Durang :

Sister Mary Ignatius Explains it All for You and The Actor's Nightmare

SISTER MARY IGNATIUS EXPLAINS IT ALL FOR YOU: Sister Mary Ignatius, a
teaching nun who is much concerned with sin, delivers a cautionary
lecture to her charges. But when several of her former students turn
      up, the picture darkens.

Conceived as a companion piece, THE ACTOR'S NIGHTMARE details the
plight of a stranger who is suddenly pushed on stage to replace an
ailing actor. Apparently no one is sure of what play is being
performed but George fumbles through one missed cue after another.

      Directed by Molly McDevitt.

      Date: 5 and 6 January, 2009
      Time: 7.30 to 9 PM
Place: NCP offices at the Bertman House
      11022 SE 37th Ave
      Milwaukie, OR

      Performance dates: February 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 at 7:30 PM
      February 21 & 28 at 2 PM

      Venue: The Ainsworth House
      19130 Lot Whitcomb Dr
      Oregon City, OR 97045

3 to 6 men and 3 to 6 women needed for 11 roles.

Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
      This is non-paying production.

We will submit one or both plays to the American Association for
Community Theatre One Act Festival, with the original cast if
possible. The state competition will take place in McMinnville on
March 13-15, 2009, with the national competition in Tacoma during June
      23-27, 2009.
