      Your product is still safe - its simply at 80% purity rather than 95% purity (see http://homedistiller.org/theory.htm#strong ).

      It may be that your column is too short, that its packing is not effective enough, that you don't run it with sufficient reflux (from the top of the column), or that you're rushing the vapour up the column (too narrow for the amount of power).
