Lets write what we know regarding the problem

500 ml @ 40% + unknown amount (A) @ 75.5 % = (500 + unknown (A)) @ 48%

500 X.40 +.755 A = (500 + A) X .48

Multiply out equations

200 + .755 A = 240 + .48 A

(.755 - .48) A = 40

Solve for A

A = 145.45 ml.

Go back to the original equation and see if each side is the same. It should work out.
