    Plums contain about 10% sugar. Prunes contain 38% sugar. Therefore 3kg prunes (6.6lbs) in 4l water (1USgal.) will ferment out to about 15%abv. Or use 0.5kg

      Plums contain about 10% sugar. Prunes contain 38% sugar. Therefore 3kg prunes (6.6lbs) in 4l water (1USgal.) will ferment out to about 15%abv. Or use 0.5kg (1.1lbs) prunes(for flavor), 4l water & 1kg (2.2lbs) sugar if you want to save money as prunes are not that cheap.
