      Most of us collect the small amount of tails and heads (collectively called 'feints'), add them back to the next washcharge run in the still.

      Some save them up (heads too as above) until there's a goodly amount, then run them on their own (no wash) with an equal amount of fresh water added to the stillcharge. You recover a lot of good usable alcohol that way. But if you use this second method, throw away any heads or tails from this stillcharge. They're useless.
