- ive only tried the sugar base for the absinthe and i can say it carries the sweetness youd expect from a absinthe, a herb liquer iam saying herb liquer it is and it isnt to some extent.ive only tried sugar theirs minimal harshness then of the grain iam not sure if grain makes best base but sugar more contributes to a grape like finnish, suppose you could make wash grape /sugar.different ratios
