      I have found that a 2 foot or so column up then down at a 45 degree angle gives a nice bit of reflux (gives me about a 70 - 75% through the middle run).  I use a 1/2" ID lyne arme, but an inch column necked down to 1/2 inch for the lyne arme  works well to.
