      Hi Chris, Perservatives are hard to get rid of sometimes in an animal feed - if in fact there are some, but if you soak it overnight then strain it, it should

        Perservatives are hard to get rid of sometimes in an animal feed - if
        in fact there are some, but if you soak it overnight then strain it, it
        should be ok to ferment. Also its a good idea to boil it for a while
        to soften and gelatinize it, or if your doing an all grain mash -
        follow the directions for mashing in the Info base.
