      The packing will tarnish, that's normal. As long as it doesn't rust,
      obviously that means it's just copper coated. I just clean mine
      (still and packing) with hot, soapy water, but some will suggest
      cleaning with vinager, definately makes it cleaner. What ever floats
      your boat.
