      5500w at 120vac is roughly 45 amps.  You aren't going to find any household 120 volt outlet that can handle that level of amperage.  Even the 3500w will draw almost 30 amps which is still too much.  The mosts a home 120vac will run is 20 amps and unless the wiring is new I wouldn't draw that much on it.  

      Your only real option is to tie into either an electric range, electric water heater or electric clothes dryer circuit or run a dedicated 220vac from your breaker box.  Only attempt this if you know what you are doing, else any licensed electrician can do it.
