      Given that each and every distance-weighted average-cum-kriged estimate is a functionally dependent value (calculated value) of a stochastic variable, it follows that kriging variances of SETS of kriged estimates are invalid measures for variability, precision and risk. After all, calculated values do not give degrees of freedom whereas independently measured values do give degrees of freedom. The lost formula for the variance of a single kriged estimate is posted under Documents on ai-geostats.org.
