The NetLogo development team at the Center for Connected Learning and
Computer-Based Modeling at Northwestern University is pleased to
announce the 1.2beta2 release of NetLogo. NetLogo 1.2beta2 is
available for free download from our site at
      http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/ .

The main reason for the release is to fix a bug where sometimes saving a
model would overwrite the last model you opened, instead of saving over
the current model. This is a serious bug that could cause data loss,
so anyone who downloaded 1.2beta1 should consider upgrading to 1.2beta2.

Please try it and out and send us bug reports at
bugs@... and other suggestions and comments at
      feedback@....

A few other minor changes were made since 1.2beta1:

      + content:
o improved models: Vector Fields (wrapping particles now
      stop the model)
o corrected copyright notices in many models
      + computer HubNet improvements:
o improved activity: Tragedy of the Commons (fixed bug
that sometimes caused a runtime error when no clients
      were connected)
o Gridlock (info tab now explains how coordinates are
      given to traffic lights)
      + calculator HubNet improvements:
o Gridlock (info tab now explains how coordinates are
      given to traffic lights)

... Vicotr Do you recommend uninstalling NL 1.1 before installing the Vicotr upgrade? Not necessary -- the different versions will coexist on your hard drive

Not necessary -- the different versions will coexist on your hard drive
          with no problem.

On Windows systems, whichever version you installed last will be the
version that opens if you double click a model file in Windows Explorer.
