We are a group that is doing all we can to stop the production of Pride and Prejudice 2005. Through discussions and research, we have dedicated ourselves to keeping the remembrance of Pride and Prejudice 1995 alive. Because of the exceptional performances by Collin Firth and Jennifer Ehle, we are trying to do all we can to prevent further production of this new version. Being only two hours long, this new version is a waste of talent and time, as it will not do justice to the book written by Jane Austen. Since it is still in beginning stages, by banding together, we can write petitions to director Joe Wright and others involved with the production, begging them to halt the making of this movie. We are committed to the Pride and Prejudice mini-series, as no other actors can come close to performing as well as Firth and Ehle. Needless to say, all of the other actors in the mini-series are equally exceptional. This new version will not draw large attention, as it will not represent such great talent or screenplay. We hope that all of the committed Pride and Prejudice fans will join this group and help us in our quest. Only those who support this mission statement are requested to join.
