Has anyone been participating in LA City Planning (and supposedly LADoT) updating of the Mobility (modern = Transportation) Element of LA General Plan?  They don't seem to have much included except for using Valley Blvd...and presumably the westerly extension as Main Str. for a Bus Rapid Transit probably to El Monte along Valley (=Bus 76, so maybe it will be 776 or better yet 17-76).  LA-32 next week may be considering a motion to get DCP and DoT to work with us on getting a real plan at least for the southern tier of NELA...which could be easily expand to all of NELA.

Is anyone interested in Rapid Bus, BusRapidTransit, expanded DASH services, and major corridor improvements targeting the outside bus/bike lanes?  We are also going after Transit-Centers/Villages and Park-N-Rides as part of getting congestion pricings for major arterials/secondary highways.

A longer-term target is incorporating the western San Gabriel Valley commuter routes into an alternative to the SR-710 Tunnel with maybe a short term bus/longer term light rail N-S route as shown in the 710 alternatives.

Let's get something started from the Bottom-Up because their top-down doesn't seem to be working very well over all of LA....
