Reminder: Mural Ordinance is scheduled for 1/15, 2013 TODAY PLUM Committee meeting
BREAKING NEWS: The Mural Ordinance is scheduled for the January 15, 2013 TODAY PLUM Committee meeting.
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
EDWARD R. ROYBAL HEARING ROOM 350 -
200 NORTH SPRING STREET, LOS ANGELES, CA 90012
Mural Ordinance - PLUM Commission meeting on 11/20/12
After a long review process, Planning and Land Use Management (PLUM) has decided to withhold passing the Mural Ordinance until the Department of City Planning (DCP) can make some much needed revisions.
Although several topics were discussed, major problem areas included murals on dwelling units (five units or less versus single family units), and whether or not neighborhoods should have the ability to veto unwanted murals.
An updated version ready for review has a projected completion date of January 15th 2013, where it will be reviewed by PLUM once more.
Fingers crossed for positive results!
