Mount Washington Homeowners Alliance is hosting a Candidates' Forum for City Council District 1.

As a result of the once-in-a-decade redistricting, the City Council approved new lines dividing 15 council districts. The new map was received with mixed reviews as some neighborhoods were favored while others were ignored in their hope for a unique identity on the Council. Residents of all neighborhoods included in the newly redistricted Council District 1, are invited to attend this Forum to meet their new candidates. All will have a chance to submit questions as time permits on topics of concern for their families and neighbors, on the future of the District and beyond.

This was a very boring meeting. Gil Cedillo spent an a lot of time going over his endorsements over and over and over.

Jose spent his time saying what he would do. But why didn't he do those things while working for councilmember Ed Reyes. Boring.

Jesse Rosas and William are community activist that work in the community with no paycheck. Jesse Rosas lives in the area and knows the issues and what the community needs. Cedillo and Jose do not live in the district or just recently moved into it and are funded by big developers.
