      Recreation Instructors

      Available Hours: varies depending upon instructor experience, availability and class schedule.

      Description Of Duties: to work as a part-time Recreation Instructor at Glassell Recreation Center teaching self defense classes.

      Duties include planning, organizing and conducting classes. Prepare, instruct and train youths and adults in the fundamentals of self defense.

      Qualifications: Must be skilled, professionally trained, and have experience in teaching. Must be able to teach a variety of ages, and be able to motivate and inspire students.

      Recreation Assistant

      Available Hours: 4-6 hrs/wk

      Job Description: Cheer and Drill Coach.

      Hours: Monday 4:00 � 6:00 pm, Friday 4:00 � 6:00 pm, and other hours
      as dictated by parades, competitions and extra practices.

      Qualifications: Candidate must be able to:

      � Demonstrate competency in guiding youth in cheer routines, marching, drill team activities.
      � Work under the direction of the Director in Charge.
      � Organize the Cheer/Drill group for competitions and activities.
      � Prepare materials/uniforms for Cheer and Drill.
      � Lead, move freely, participate in, and guide cheer/drill activities
      � Work cooperatively with Staff.
      � Develop contacts at the local schools to promote the program and distribute flyers.
