The Notorious Canary Trainers will meet on Sunday, April 15th at the Pinney Library. Pinney Library is located at 204 Cottage Grove Road near the intersection of Monona Drive and Cottage Grove Road.

This week we will be discussing "The Adventure of the Greek Interpreter". This story was first published in 1893. Parts of the story were used in both BBC's Sherlock and CBS's Elementary. The entire story was portrayed in 1985 by Jeremy Brett in the BBC series.

The story is significant because of the introduction of Mycroft Holmes. Over the years Mycroft has come to be considered an important player in the Sherlock Holmes stories. A trivia question for those at the meeting will be, in how many stories did Mycroft appear?

As usual our meeting will begin at 3:00 pm and will conclude by 4:30 pm. Be sure to remember that our meeting will be held at a new location; Pinney Library, 204 Cottage Grove Road.

      New guests are always welcome.

I'm being lazy and forwarding the message from last month. As you may remember, we cancelled last month due to a snow storm.

After some discussion by some members, it was decided to discuss "The Adventure of the Greek Interpreter" this month. Also to shift our schedule for the entire year back one month.

Please note that our meeting will be at Pinney Library, 204 Cottage Grove Road.

Since Madison Public Libraries are closed on Sundays during the summer, we will have to decide where we will be meeting for the next three months.

P.S. I'm not sure but I think Johanna has a thing for Mycroft and will have a lot to say.
