      Sounds like distortion coming from the splitting edge of the TSH. Use a
      flshlight and sight down the flue. Is the splitting edge even, is there a
      burr or something you might have not seen?

      Also try increasing the width of the whole setup, SAC exit hole, flue, and
      TSH, try 3/8"+. Make sure that the cutting edge is splitting the air even all
      the way across. That should clear up the "muddiness".
