I found this series of videos on youtube and found them to be quite informative. There are 9 videos and I've pasted the links in order. I am glad that y'all are showing interest in this project and I am looking forward to having this finally completed and it's going to take as much help as we can get. I hope y'all find these videos helpful. Enjoy!
just an intro video. Useful, but our trails are already past this
the faze we are in now. Our trails will be strictly hiking/mountain
biking. They have horse trails out at the park but not much
I feel this one is probably the most important.
Clear Springs is suffering erosion problems.
is a bit long, but still important.
We are a
long way off from this point. But, it is quite useful and very correct. I
want these trails to be built the right way. Unlike, Clear Springs, which
in some places is amazing trail, and in others it looks like they just
threw it together to get it done.
Armoring, this is done at Clear Springs with the
"pavers". Those concrete or plastic sections. Sure they are light and
functional but in some places they were not put in properly. I'd like to
see a more natural "paver" used or see them done properly. I really like
the way they did it in this video.
pretty sure someone knows somebody that could have nice weather resistant signs made up so that our trail system not only well marked, but looks great too!
rubber bars are used at Clear Springs and people do just go around them.
I've ridden trails that have used small logs or rock slabs to create a
step type obstacle. Extremely fun and effective. Clear Springs has some
areas desperate for some attention. I'd like to have the State Park trails
done the right way so they don't need as much attention in the years to
video with credits and recap.
