October Meeting Report and other announcements
- Yesterday's meeting went well. Six of us folded some bats and
jack-o-lanterns as well as some boxes, cubes, and miscellaneous other
things. I do think that the wonderful weather hurt attendance a bit,
but I am sure next month will be better. I look forward to folding
some turkeys and maybe some vegetables.
I distributed some of the club business cards to be disbursed, and I
have been working myself to get some of them out there.
Two things I forgot to mention at the meeting (or that I was unaware
of before the meeting).
1) A new origami magazine called Creased (http://creased.com) is in
the process of taking diagram submissions. I was emailed to find out
if anyone in the group has (unreleased) diagrams they might be
interested in contributing.
2) I forgot that World Origami Days is coming up soon. October 24th
(Lillian Oppenheimer's birthday) through November 11th (Origami Day in
Japan). Basically it is an opportunity to share origami with the
people around you. Because it crept up on me, this year is not good,
but it might be worth trying to organize something around it next
Here are the things I folded at the last meeting.
