Foster City, CA NAAFA announced today that it has launched its newest program, NAAFA Gentlemen's Quarterly Club (NGQC). The NGQC, which convened its inaugural meeting last month at the NAAFA 2013 Annual Convention & Expo in Las Vegas, will provide a size-friendly platform whereby fat activists, admirers and supporters of all sizes can assemble to discuss issues important to NAAFA's male members. The NGQC will meet quarterly across the country in pre-selected cities, thereby maximizing participation in what promises to be a thought-provoking program.
NGQC will focus on the following interest areas:
Fashion & Style;
Dating & Relationships;
Sports & Leisure;
Travel & Tourism;
Issues (i.e., End Bullying Now).
NAAFA's female members are encouraged to participate!
Founded in 1969, NAAFA is a non-profit civil rights organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for fat people. NAAFA works to eliminate discrimination based on body size and provide fat people with the tools for self-empowerment through public education, advocacy, and member support.
