      Hi,

As regards the Aspesi article, there's no reason to make a tragedy out of
it. It is obvious that the author has no idea of Tolkien, except perhaps a
bad dictionary definition. I get the impression she may be feeling more
critical of "yet another American box-office-record-mega-production" in a
style she's not really interested in.
If you pay attention to the text on the screen, you may notice, just over
the title and to the left, the italics "Pagina 60". In other words, this
article is on p. 60, somewhere right at the back of the paper version of the
newspaper, in the TV and films programme pages, somewhere between the
weather forecast and the lost cats. Just one of those little summaries for
people to decide if it's the kind of thing they like. If they're keen on
elves and wizards and dragons, they'll know about Tolkien, and go ahead
anyway (at least I would), no matter what the journalist says. If Aspesi
really is a big journalist, she may well have felt annoyed at having to
write up one of those commentaries instead of whatever smarter(?)stuff she
      usually does.
To write protests to la Reppublica because of this article would look quite
ridiculous at the other end. They'd think you're making a mountain out of a
molehill. The article is too petty to be worth it.
