>This is an advance call for papers on Tarot for the 2008 PCA conference to be held 19-22 March 2008 in San Francisco, California. All related topics are of potential interest, including, but not limited to:
>-Tarot as art
>-Tarot and literature
>-Tarot artists, writers, and readers
>-individual Tarot decks
>-Tarot as a motif in comics, literature and film
>Participants should be prepared to present their work as scholarly research and / or for the benefit of an interested audience of academics. If you have not presented in one of the previous Tarot sessions at the PCA, please include some information regarding your professional background or other field of expertise relevant to your research or presentation on Tarot with your abstract.
>The final deadline for submission of abstracts is Nov. 1, 2007, but earlier inquiries and submissions will be welcomed. Final papers should be no longer than 20 minutes so that four papers can be read in a 1 � hour session. Details about visual projection equipment are not yet available, but most previous participants have either used photocopied handouts or their own laptop computers with standard powerpoints projected through television or other screens.
