If it is true that JKR is planning on killing off Harry Potter, she should do it in an appropriate manner that honours the previous material and makes what he did worthwhile reading.
It would be most disappointing if she didn't; and, say, did the opposite. I hope she doesn't, because that would be doing Harry and the rest of her creations a disservice.
It has been an opinion of mine that if you don't do your creations justice, they might as well stay in limbo. The same goes for your craft. It should be done justice, or don't do it...
Also, she would be killing a cash cow, even if she had planned on ending the series after seven books; If she does kill Potter off, it should be fitting and heroic. Potter, despite his youth and heritage has, over the course of seven tomes undertaken and learned Magick and seeing as that is the case, given the difficulty and ardour involved should do it, and all the other characters as well as his fans, and creator justice...
